Terry Crews is being open and honest about the lack of support he received from Black men while going through his sexual assault case. He's also recognizing Black women for having his back throughout the ordeal.

During his latest appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Crews explained that he was surprised Black women supported him so strongly after feeling as if no one cared.

"To be honest with you, when it first happened, there was none [no support] for a long time," he said. "The people who surprised me the most were Black women. Black men did not want any part of it. All my support came from Black women, straight up.”

Crews continued, "A lot of guys were just like, 'Man, you weak. You sorry. You should have hit him. You should've knocked him out. You should have did all this stuff,'" he said. "Black women were like, 'No, no, it doesn't work like that.' I was shocked at the split within my own community."

Crews said in late 2017 that he was groped by Hollywood executive Adam Venit at an industry party, inspired by Harvey Weinstein’s fall from grace after a damning news report from The Times exposed decades of sexual harassment allegations.
